Bkt Tabur - Need Permit else kena Summon

Bro TeyET informed in his FB that Bkt Tabur need permit to hike.. not sure how much the fee and need to go to the office to get before hike else will be summon..

WHy they can station a ranger there and give permit ?

So guys pls. be forwarned ....

Many Thanks to the BU group and Eric for sponsoring the ropes so that hikers going to T3

will appreciate the climb and safety measures have been taken care.

To hikers, please ensure no litters ..

45 hikers came for the Tabur 3 hike. didn't expect the crowd as Eric and myself decided to meet up and laid some ropes along the trail which are difficult to climb and also safety ropes when going down.

As its a day after Valentine, Aaron baked 25 cupcakes to be given ladies who reach the T3 peak and the delivery man was Chong.

Since its between Valentine and Chap Goh Mei, we decided to hike on Feb 15, as its was a public holiday.

Eric and me came down at 11:45am as we are the last to reach down as we hike to Tabur3a together with Loy.

Next hike in March 19 to Tabur 2.. laying some ropes there.

Gunung Nuang - Feb 19th

This saturday, Gng Nuang Peak. Ulu Langat (1,498M)

Will lead the Oracle Group coordinate by Leonard and Har in preparation for the April Mt KK climb which a week earlier than my group.

Will start the trekking at 7am so that by noon the group can reach the peak.

Meeting place will be at Park Office 6.45am..

Chap Goh Mei Hike to Tabur 3 - Feb 15

Feb 15th will be at Tabur 3, where Eric will lead the group. Meeting point Zoo Negara Entrance at 7am.

Its Chap Goh Mei hike as also part of training for the EBC group and Q's group to Mt KK..

Feb 26th will be in Singapore for the pre race clinic in view of the 60km trail run in sabah..

The Pinnacles

Located beside the clear stream is Camp 5 is an ideal place to swim and relax after the Pinnacle climb. The trail to the top is only 2.4km long but rises 1,200 meters to the viewpoint. The last section of the trail is near vertical with rope sections and ladders to climb.

The climb is well worthwhile as the views of the pinnacles formations, some of which tower up to 40 meters.

Mulu Pinnacles Aug 17 - 21, 2011

Once again, Borneo adventure and this time its Mulu Pinnacles, Sarawak... it my 4th time there.

Have booked for 30paxs and 20 places have been taken up. So those who keen email me for more details. Trianing will be provided

Its World Heritage other than Mt KK and not to be missed. The awesome of the bats exodus flying across the skies in the evening, boat ride to Kuala Litut, Showcaves & Penan Villages , etc..

Mt KK Climbathon 2011 on Oct 22 -23 is open for registration. I have already registered... it 25th anniversary.. therefore come and join.
