Goldend Ride Bentong 100km

On Mar 26, 2016, 15 of the cyclists join m,e for the Goldren Ride 2016 at Bentong.

Distance 100km... but once completed it was 109km.

It was label as a fun ride, but a 110km cycle is nt a fun ride

The routs started from Bentong all the way to Raub and back... it take along the Felda estate and cut thru' the trunk road to Fraser's hills after Raub.

we pass to Sg Ruan, where Chey's durian plantation is located.

Gunung Kutu - Kuala Kubu Bahru - April 8, 2016

This coming April 9, 2016 - his Hike to Bukit Kutu otw to Fraser's Hilss.

YF Cng will ne leading the group.

This is part of my training for the Mulu Pinnacles Adventure which i will be going on April 28 - May 2, 2016 leading a group of 25 paxs.

Bukit Kutu is near Kuala Kubu Bharu along the trunk road to Fraser's Hill.  It stand at  1,050m high, it was once a colonial hill station called 'Treacher's Hill',  It is a popular hiking place during  weekends, with beautiful views of the Titiwangsa mountain range and Kuala Kubu Bharu dam once you reach the peak.

The climb up Gunung Kutu (2-4 hours depending on individual fitness and pace) begins from an Orang Asli village at the foothill; turn right at the signboard to Kampung Pertak after Sungai Selangor Dam, if coming from Kuala Kubu Bharu town.

Meeting point will be at Kual;a Kubu Bahru Post Office at 7:00am and will depart to the startion point at 7:15am.

Gng Ansi Mar 12, 2016

Gunung Ansi situated in Negri Sembilan stood at 825m and it the 3rd highest Gunung in Negeri Sembilan.

Come March 12, 2016, I will be hiking there with some friends via Bukit Putus which is much easier as compared via Ulu Bendul

This hike is a preparation for Mulu Pinnacles Adventure on April 28 - May 2, 2016

The 1st part of the terrain is quite steep will take about 30mins before reaching a small hut built by the regulars. From the hut to the peak will take about 1hr 30mins to reach.

The trails is clear and lead all the way to the peak

Gng Berembun and WW2 Crash site

On January 30th, 2016, met CL Chong at Pantsi Negeri Sembilan at 7.15am where he lead the group to Gng Berembun and to see the remnants of the WW2 plane crash site.

The hike took average 10 - 12 hrs return depend individual fitness and also on the weather.

The route to Gua Kambing is gradually upwards and the trails are clear  but once after Gua Kambing, the challenge begin where 300 meters steep climb to the summit.

GNG BEREMBUN NEGERI SEMBILAN on JANUARY 30, 2016 - SATURDAY

This Saturday 30-01-2016 – Gunung Berembun + WW2 Crash Site - Negeri Sembilan

It's  a whole day hike, and therefore please ensure all the basics items are packed.

Below are the details :

Those who know the venue, Please meet at Pantai Village before 7am.

I will be using the LEKAS HIGHWAY and will wait after the SETUL INTERCHANGE at 6:30am, for those coming via Kuala Lumpur

PLEASE CAR POOL IF YOU CAN.

If you coming from Seremban :

a)      Take the Jelebu Road N86, near Ampangan. Pantai is 10km away from this junction.

If you are coming from Kuala Lumpur / Petaling Jaya / Subang / Kota Kamuning

a)      Advised to use the LEKAS highway
b)      After paying toll at Setul Interchange, continue and exit at the Ampangan
c)       When off the LEKAS Highway turn LEFT toward Pantai /Jelebu/Kuala Klawang
d)      Pantai Village is located 5km from this junction
e)      Upon reaching Pantai Village, you will see a signage on your right Gerai 16 Unit on your right
f)       Parking are available here for car pooling before heading to the trail head.
g)      There’s a Chinese and Mamak Kopitiam, will meet here as CL Chong will be waiting for us at 7.00am
h)      Meeting time 7:00am – Pantai Village
i)        Have breakfast and pack lunch – leave at 7:30am
j)        It 5.1km to the trail head from Pantai Village
k)      8.00am – Roll Call and briefing by CL Chong
l)        8.15am – Start Hiking
m)    11.00am – Reach Gunung Berembun Summit
n)      11:15am – Proceed to the WW2 Crash Site
o)      12:30pm – Expected to reach the WW2 Crash Site
p)      1.00pm – 1.30pm – Descend back to trail head (Base)

d)      Trekking Poles (Optional)
e)      Mobile Phone (bring along powerbank)
f)       Food and drinks (3L)
g)      Personal Medications (eg. Plasters, antibiotic cream, antihistamine)

By participating this hike, you are responsible for all your belongings and also to yourself. If you are bring your friends please ensure certain level of fitness  is required

CUT OFF TIME IS 1:30pm. TURNAROUND at this TIME. PLEASE WALK IN BUDDY SYSTEM.

Should you feel uneasiness during the hike, PLEASE STOP AND REST AND TURN BACK TO BASE

Markers will be placed along the trails.

Saga Hills on Jan 16, 2016

Saga Hills are located at Amapang and connected to Apek hills.

This hills have seen many hikers come and enjoy the nature, however in due course Saga Hills will be closed in view of new highway to be built across then hills toward Ulu Langat.

The bukit Belacan or fondly know as Hutan Rimba Ampang have been closed in view of the highway project.

On Jan 16, 2016... I will be hiking with some friends to enjoy the flora and fauna of Saga Hills before the closure of the hills.
